In Issy-les-Moulineaux, since January 2015, students enrolled in elementary school are invited to learn computer code on optional classes in school. Nearly 200 children a week participate to this activity called "Journey into Digital Culture" that is indeed proposed in ten elementary schools. This helps youngest students to introduce, through appropriate tools (including Scratch software), to the basics of IT language and digital programming.
This activity was born on 2014, when Issy gave the mission to the start-up Tralalère, having more than 15 years of experience in the field of education and digital technologies, to provide training to various City entertainers. From then, those entertainers have been starting leading these training for young students in Issy schools. In parallel, and always in the framework of this program, some students of 3 of these schools go each week to the Cube, a digital recreation center conceived to let anyone learn to use digital technologies, to enjoy this infrastructure and dive into the "digital world".
